I set up my laptop to use a home network connection. I had firmware and software firewalls in place. so I didn't worry.

While on vacation, I plugged in to a hotel broadband connection. I ended up FDisk'ing.

I would try to install and run Microsoft Spyware Beta before I started manually digging into the Registry Keys. Its a free download on C-Net.

If that doesn't clean it up, then you should try the registry.

Make sure you back up your data to a removable disc.

At worse you'll have to Fdisk. And you'll have your files.
