My efforts to make my own wine were successful, but now I would like to let my father taste it and he has been dry and on the wagon for over 10 years. Anyone know of any easy to remove the sinful part ( for him ) and keep at least a little of the flavor?
I was thinking of cooking it, but I would like to be sure that it is free of alcohol.
Follow Ups:
heat the wine on low heat in a sauce or fry pan, until you can smell no more alcohol evaporating. Cool and enjoy. I do it all the time, and it satisfies my desire to have a drink, and it's healthy too !
It is a very difficult thing to do and large wineries have been working on it for ages. I would think freezing the wine and pouring off the alcohol would be the best method and try and fix it with water and some kind of acid for balance. But good luck. The best no alcohol wine I ever tried was Arial Sparkling. I think the bubbles and the extra acidity helped it be more palatable.
