...James Laube talks about Napa cab prices.
"A single number tells you all you need to know right now about where Napa Valley is headed: $1 million an acre. Land in America's most famous winegrowing district has always been prized. But in the past two decades, prices have risen faster and steeper than anyone can recall."
So it appears that now based on the cost of Napa cab at $8000 per ton,
he says the cost of a Napa cab is $80 per bottle (IIRC).
Follow Ups:
Lets assume 3 tons to the acre (although I wouldn't be surprised that some people will crop lighter) which brings in $24k a year on a one million investment. And we aren't including management or farming costs.
Thats not a real business. I should have started a venture capital firm first.
...I know in Napa have retired from making a lot of money doing something else.
