...I picked up a bottle of their Sonoma County, their least expensive at around $30, and tried it last night. The wine shop had two others, the Russian River Valley and a RRV with a vinyard designate, both more expensive.
The Sonoma was very fruit forward, almost a one note wine, lacking subtlety and the complexity I expect from Chasseur or a good pinot noir.
I can't recommend it.

Good to know.
Just how good is that Zin you recommended?
...it tastes pretty good - but I only tasted it once - lists for $25, has a very cool looking label and I found it for less than $17 on the internet.
How bad can it be?
...I just tried the 2008 Red and Green Chiles Canyon zin.
Last year Wine Spectator rated it 92 points and it sold out fast.
Be lucky to get 87 this year.
So far, not impressed. I've had a few Pinots and Zins and they seem lacking.
...it seems.
Especially for zins.
Although the Willamette Valley pinots have been touted as having a banner year for 2008.
Planning a trip up there in September.
