Wine Asylum

Thanks all. I think that I might just head over to Sherry Lehmann

I walked in a few days before Christmas and saw that they have a few bottles from 1989 & 88. I have always fallen back on Talbot in times of need. But the prices for other things! Ten years ago, when I gave up the idea of wine collecting I bought a bottle of Haut-Brion '83 (one of the best '83s) for $75, and it still remains one of the best bottles that I have ever finished off by myself. HB '90; $450, HB '89: $675. Granted both these years are considered better than '83, (the '82 was maybe $125 then). But wow that tells me not to expect that much from the Talbot.

Anyway hunting is half the fun.

The '96s I would be looking at would not be the top tier wines. But for the price it still makes sense to buy ol' Talbot.

Thanks for the advice.

Gregg
