that boat should have no problems in 2 feet of water. The boat itself should need about 6 ta 8 inches,. With the motor lowered, you probably need a foot too 14 inches.How big a deal is a tilt and trim? Well, The tilt is prety much to raise and lower the motor in and out of the water, the Trim is used to allow you to force plane ( bring the nose down ).
People that dont have a tilt & trim device manulaly raise and lower the motor to tilt. and usualy have to move wieght around the boat to make it plane.

thanks for the info i might be able to get the boat,motor, and trailer (homemade)for about 150$ the boat has not seen the water in 2 years and i know right off it will need a new steering cable but he said the engine was flushed after every use.i will have to get the motor running again after sitting so long. but i think this will make a nice first boat with alittle work

make sure you change the water impellor on that puppy before a try to run it too much,, after sitting for a few years, its a good move.
