Hello there, My first time in this forum. I am looking to purchase a small fishing raft. I would like to fit 2 adult men comfortably (this usually equals about a 4-5 person capacity I would say in most ratings)
I'm not looking on spending very much. There are some very inexpensive rafts such as a Coleman 4 man raft with a weight capacity of about 600 lbs for about $59 online. There is also the Intex Sea Hawk 500 which has about the same weight capacity but has fishing rod holders for about $99. Then there is the Sevylor Fish Hunter rafts; the 9' and the 12'. Both holding 700 lbs and 1200 lbs, consecutively. They are about $189 and $219.
My main concern is durability. I want a raft that is going to hold up well to bumps and scrapes. Is one of these rafts going to hold up better or hold air better or worse than another? I also like the rod holders.
Any suggestions?

I OWN A 12' FISHER/HUNTER BOAT/RAFT WITH A MINN KOTA 30 ELECT MOTOR AND FIND IT HOLDS UP REAL WELL. I WOULD SUGGEST THE 12' VS THE 9' IF YOU PLAN ON CARRYING ANY GEAR. WITH TWO PEOPLE YOU CAN CARRY A SMALL WET BAG, SMALL ICE CHEST AND TACKLE BOX ONLY. MOST OF THE 12' LENGHT IS TAKEN UP BY INFLATION OF THE CHAMBERS AND THE SPACE FOR PASSENGERS IS RATHER SMALL VS OVERALL LENGHT/BEAM OF BOAT.
I thank you for the reply. Your comments were exactly what I was thinking also. I think I wil go for the 12' fishhunter.
