I am looking for a rowboat or other suitable boat to use for a preschool sandbox. It would be great to give a boat that can no longer be used on water new life as a sandbox that will bring the children a lot of joy. Could a fiberglass boat be used this way? Wood would be ideal as long as lead paint was not an issue. Does anyone have any ideas for how I might find such a boat, or does anyone have one to sell? Has anyone else done this successfully? I think we would need to drill holes in the bottom for drainage. The preschool is in Northern Virginia (Washington DC suburbs). Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
