I wonder if mine has a problem. The grid and focusing display is supposed to turn red in low light situations. Mine flashes red in low light but immediately fades to black regardless of ambient light conditions. Even in a dark room with the only light coming from an adjacent room.Is this correct, or should they stay red as the manual seems to imply?

Follow Ups:
I think that's normal. You can other lighting options in the custom functions (CF 5). Try some of those, selection 2 is "always illuminated". That may get you what you want. I use the default which gives the red lighting for way less than a second.
