So I've read some info recently stating that only 10% of Americans are regular wine drinkers. Also konwn is that only 10% of computer users are Apple/Mac users.
This thought crosses my mind frequently, while enjoying a nice shiraz/grenache/whatever and computing on my powerbook:
Is it the same 10% for the most part?
Follow Ups:
Well, I'm sitting at my Mac drinking a very nice Argentinian Malbec!
Only problem with the 10% thing is I'm in London UK.
my only regret was that it took me 5 yrs. of Windows use to convince me that there was a better operating system...But then again when I started drinking wine, it was White Zinfandel and now I'm a die-hard red wine drinker...so maybe good taste is something that evolves...

...I wonder how many of us wine enthusiasts got started with white zin.I'll bet a lot of us.
And it made Sutter Home a ton of money.
And encouraged the planting of more zinfanedel grapes - my favorite varietal.

was almost killed by that horrible stuff. Only in the last few years is bone dry rose' making a comeback. I poured 3 last night at our weekly tasting. 2 french, 1 washington.
In the summer it's routinely in the upper 90's here...hard to think about drinking big Syrahs and Cabs until the sun goes down.I plan on making 2 barrels of Rose' this fall...going to use Cab Franc....yum

...with the popularity of Rose' as a summer wine these days, and even Robert Parker rating some in a recent Business Week, I decided to round some up and do some tasting.Of the half dozen I tried (I couldn't find any of Parker's), most were average - on the level of a good white zin - but this one stands out:
Mas Grand Plagniol (big letters), Costieres de Nimes (small letters) the growing region, I think, for $9.99.

...more Apple users drink beer than wine. You know - those struggling young creative types.
