I will taste the Cab again.
If I remember correctly the
Yellow Tail Cab was a typical
Australian Cab, not very big
and bold. The Australians make
excellent Shiraz, that is their
number one grape.I generally prefer $20 +
California Cabs or Red
Zinfandel's. Try a Liberty
School Cab at about $15 a bottle,
it is excellent. BTW Liberty
School is the second label of
Caymus. Caymus is one of my
favorite Cab producers but
I don't buy it any more as
their Cab's start at about $50.

I also like my Reds, Big and Bold !And like I said the Yellowtail Shriaz, Cab and Merlot are so close that I suspect they may all be the same wine (possibly a blend) and the company maybe just changes lables on the same stuff for marketing purposes. Anyway this is current favorite cheapie wine.
I have heard of the wines you mentioned, but I try to go a bit cheaper. Some of my Favorite Cabs are the Oakville Estate Franciscan, and the St. Supery.

Charles Shaw (aka "2 Buck Chuck") is sold at Trader Joe's in the midwest. Except it is $2.99 which is more like "3 Buck Chuck".
The merlot is rather good, and I can certainly tell the difference between the grapes. I wasn't impressed the last time I tried Yellow Tail. I will have to get a few bottles to see what you mean about them tasting the same.
