2000 vintage . One of the best I've tasted under $10 . At $4.99 from Trader Joes, it's one of the best deals I've come across in awhile . Any other bargains out there for us ?

Follow Ups:
I think it's 100% Tempranillo, but it's absolutely wonderful at about $10. Drinks like a $30 wine.

Just finished a bottle of the 2000. I'm pretty sure it is 100% grenache. I agree it drinks like at least a $25 bottle of Rhone maybe even Chateau Nuf de Pape. Hmmmmm how close was that spelling?

You are right; the 2001 vintage is 100 % Tempranillo. It is terrific. I think it needs a little bottle aging; it's 14.5% alcohol. But the fruit sure covers it well now. It is a great food wine and I think generally the Spanish wines have gone up dramatically in quality recently. Try 2000 Las Gravas [Jumilla]; it's pure dynamite. It's around 15/16 dollars and worth every cent.

A proprietary label - Osborne Solaz from Spain. $7.00. Simple, discernible oak, smoke and black fruits.

Sounds good . I have tried several Spanish wines recently and they do seem pretty decent for the money . I'll definately give it a try if I can find it .
