After years of hearing MOET & Chandon being pronounced with the T i
remember reading that it should be silent. please send your vote
Follow Ups:
It is MO ET as it is a German Company so should be pronounced in the German rather than French.
isn't it Mo e tay shan do(n)?the e is short and the terminal consonant (t) is carried over to the next word
it's a french name, with a history of being pronounced in french, and the wine is made in champagne. we don't pronounce wharfedale differently just because its chinese-owned.
It's umlaut over the "e" which makes you pronounce the "t". A little rhyme to remember.
.
also there is the accent on the o, like in gothe(the poet), so in champagne you would hear mooure-et et chandon. posted by yessamm, yessir's alcholic half.
