Wine-Stat - convert old refrigerator to wine storage

A product called Wine Stat converts any refrigerator (non-freezer) into a 55 F wine storage. Seems like a good solution. Anyone have used it ?

Before you invest in a wine-stat, see if the fridge can stand alone as a wine storer. Get a refrigerator thermometer and see what the upper limit is on your refrigerator's temperature regulation capabilities.
