To "Sean" and others who responded awhile back: I purchased a few Farley Mowat books on Amazon based on some recommendations here. Any of you read "The Dog Who Wouldn't Be" or "No Man's River"? Are they worth the price of admission?FWIW, "The Boat that Wouldn't Float" was wonderful, and "High Latitudes" was equally as good but it pissed me off to read about the way the Canadians treat(ed?) their Eskimo's.

The Dog is a good book and so are the Foundation Franklin books if you like non-fiction high seas salvage books. Very well written. I read them many years ago but still remember the dog wearing goggles riding in the open car.

Hey, sub, fancy meeting you here. First time I've dropped by.Farley Mowat was a highly-respected writer in the '50s. I read portions of it as a lad when it appeared in Reader's Digest. (I know, I know. Hey, I was ten. What did I know?) It was very enjoyable. If you've liked his other stuff, you'll probably like "Dog". It might even have been a bestseller, for what that's worth.
