Re: Seahawk 500 manuverability and handling Q's

If Im not Mistaken, The seahawk 500 is a flat bottomed boat. That specific modle does not have a transom, so mounting a 9.9hp motor could be a trick, Not imposible, BUt the boat was not designed for it. It might even cause too much stress on the seams, becuse after all, lets not kid ourselves here, That model is a toy, Most boats like that wind up with a electric troling motor and a small batterie.

At low speed that raft should turn on a dime, at higher speed it should skip or slide a bit wile cornering.

It should run well in a moderate amount of current, However, Personaly, I would look for a raft that has a transom if you really want a gas motor.
