Fossil fuel tax would pave the roads for a good many years

Especially if EV haters such as yourself continue to drive ICE vehicles.

That assumes the tax were used to pave road. Granted, where the fossil fuel tax is "revenue neutral" they wouldn't have that effect. The Canadian Federal Government's tax is rebated to consumers but on a "flat" basis so if one use more than average fuel, you come out behind, if less, you come out ahead.

The Conservative Party of Canada is flogging its end the carbon tax policy very hard. They consistently fail to mention the tax rebate; a large portion of their potential voters are actually getting a net benefit after the rebate. But the typical Conservative Party voter is a moron.
