Hello Jim

With all the comments about the "demise" of high-end audio I've been thinking about other hobbies that might be in the same boat.

Yesterday I picked up a copy of Hot Rod magazine and in the letters section they're taking hits for last months story on "crate engines" one guy was "appalled to see you guys consider $5k for a measly 355 hp" and another guy talks about the sense of pride he got from assembling his own SBC.

All is not lost at Hot Rod though, this month features "391hp for $2,613 A small-Block Combo Anyone Can Build"

Now that's more like it.

Lets hope the other cam manufacturer's keep their product lines fresh and competitive. I was worried when Ultradyne became Bullet, but they seem to still have some of the best cams out there, especially the solid lifter and roller grinds.
