I am restoring my 88 bmw, and these ugly rusty bubbles are bothering me. Instead of buying NOS door and sun roof, is there any method to cure this?

The way Porsche beat rust starting in 1976 with the 914, was to dip the chassis in galvanized before putting the car together.
