This is a killer car with serious standard features. The interior is top flight and it drives and handles beautifully. The catch is: it's made in Wolfsburg! It is not a south of the border piece of donkey dung like the Beetle and other Golfs. I was really impressed with the Tiptronic as it really seemed to shift gears quickly with matched rpms both up and down. With the 16" alloy package and 5-speed manual the price is $15,450. Just $500 more than an xB but with maturity, elegance, features galore, and that volumous hatch. Downside: thirsty 5 cyclinder yields just 22/30.
