I am researching 2 man bass boats to take the wife fishing at a neighborhood pond. I am leaning towards the 9 ft Pond Prowler. Does anyone have experience w/ one. How about the BassHunter? Stability is important b/c I foresee myself standing in it on occassion. Thanks for the info.

I have used some but my suggestion is to purchase one with some depth. Most that I have seen are shallow and are a little less stable.

I've used a 2-man Bass Hunter with great success. If you're interested, email me (remove NOSPAM from addy). Comes with other stuff, too!

I am a 2 man bass boat user but it's a 12 foot jon boat. Why not go with something like that??

I would enjoy having a jon boat. But I already own a BassCat Jaguar which more than fills my bass boat needs. But I am trying to make the outings more enjoyable for my wife (she doesn't like all day fishing trips). So I figure a small 2 man boat we can take to the neighborhood pond may the ticket. A jon boat may be to combersome for us to carry. The small pond prowlers and bass hunters seem to be easier to handle. Plus, I already own a small 4x8 trailer that I can use to help carry them accross the street to the pond. But I don't have any experience w/ either so I am looking for some info from others. Thanks.

With a couple of 'cushy' seats, a small outboard, a long push pole -- one could fish every pond in the area...

Wait a minute here boyz... The mighty Gheenoe is one fine vessel. I just bought my second one last weekend! On my first (which I bought used) I have 15 HP. jOHNSON. The boat literally flies and can go in 4 inches of water. Even less on a full plane. I take it with me all over, especially in the Everglades National Park. I can go where the most expensive flats boats fear to tread! I even fared through 4 ft seas from the East Cape Canal to Flamingo (Southern most point in mainland FL). Although I would never do it again, the mughty Gheenoe made it. Twas a trip my freind and I will never forget. That model was made in the 70's. The one I bought this past weekend is only a few years old with a 6hp mariner. Suffice to say I love my little boat(s). Cheers
