Two inexpensive cabernets.
After reading the WS 92 pt. review I tried the 2015 Beringer Knight's Valley for $25 at Total Wines. It took a little while to open up but it had It had nice raspberry fruit, a little cedar with some depth and a nice finish.
Someone on a serious wine newsgroup recommended the 2016 Kirkland Signature Stags Leap District - $25 at Costco - as being the best he's tasted for over twice as much.
So three of us did a blind tasting of the two cabs.
It was unanimous - The Kirkland Signature is amazing for the price. The Beringer took longer to open up and when it did, it wasn't as intense or flavorful as the Kirkland Signature.
Highly recommended.
Follow Ups:
Glad you like it. I refuse to shop at Costco and will admit to missing some of the things on the shelf. But in the end, I survive and they can suck it.

I don't know who owns it...thought it was a publicly traded company.
Costco spent millions of dollars in the state of WA to be allowed to sell liquor. Prior, it was only sold in state run liquor stores.
The measure failed once or twice. They paid to put it on the ballot again, but reframed their argument. Well, they paid someone to reframe it as "Why is Wa State in the liquor business.?"
The vote did pass but most people had no idea what they were voting for of course.
The result is the alcohol business in the state being upended with many consequences that affect those of us who make and sell alcohol (and none of them positive) But to the average consumer, all state stores were closed and liquor taxes were raised to offset the state losses. We now have the second highest liquor tax in the country. Luckily I can be in Oregon in 5 minutes.
...my wife is from PA and they have state run liquor stores.I don't think the state should nave a monopoly on the liquor market.
Not Costco owner, but the founder.

PA is an extreme example and even I don't want to deal with them as a supplier.
What Costco did was rewrite the rules to favor them.
Want to sell liquor in a small shop? Sorry. Minimum square footage requirements.
There are a lot of other things that have happened as a result of the changes that have made doing business in WW harder. And we all pay more.
It also opened up the area for stores like BevMo and Total Wine. Hard for me to get excited about that.
...I'm a big fan of Total Wines and sometimes bargains found at Costco and Trader Joe's.
I suspect you sell most of your wine to members, specialty wine shops and restaurants, anyway.
