...me, perhaps some beaujolais nouveau and some zinfandel.
Follow Ups:
....the 2017 Debeouf sucks.
Usually this is a very fruity light red wine.
This year it has less fruit and has a sour finish.
Wtf?
Just kidding...
But that is too bad about the Debeouf. You're right, he usually has a pretty good offering.
Have you tried any of the Cru Beaujolais?
...my late night spelling suffers.
I rarely drink any foreign wines with an overabundance of terrific CA wines here.
Since nouveau beaujolais comes out the Thursday before Thanksgiving, it used to be a holiday tradition with us.
A local wine shop/restaurant has a tasting of 3 or 4 of them beginning that Thursday and we used to try a few and pick the one we liked best - the differences were greater than you would think.
Sky Valley Pinot Noir, New Zealand.
...has some excellent pinots and most go great with food.
It's 50% Carmenere, 25% Carignan, 25% Pais and sees no wood.
We are staying home, for the first time in 26 years, and the meal is simple (turkey breast with sage/green beans/mashed potatoes).
I have a nice Tawney Port, but doubt that I'll open it.
A nouveau would be fun (have not tasted one this century) and as I have to go to the pharmacy (Pavilions) this morning I'll see if they have any in.
