...not heard of either - what made you pick them?

Just read the reviews on WS. I've noticed the VML has shown up a few times with good quality to price ratios.
The same with the Canoe Ridge. Always looking for a good affordable cab. Theirs' got a "90" and costs $20. The review description sounded like a style I might like.
Canoe Ridge isn't what it used to be when John Abbot was making the wines. It's now a part of Precept Wines. They are very large and market driven. Canoe Ridge is made in a different facility and the vineyard is solid so there is hope.
In the day they were Merlot focused. When Precept bought them a few years ago they cleared out the older wines thru Grocery Outlet. That is where the bargains were...holy moly!

So much wine, so little time.
Or cab blends...Any favorites?

I just saw a bottle for around 11 bucks form House of Independent Producers (Hedges). A cab Sauv from Sagemoor Vineyards. It's a good vineyard. At this price it will most likely to have never seen a barrel, but it may be worth checking out.....looks like K and L has it.
I had the Chard from them last night (way easier to do at cheap prices) and it was nice.
I like Cab's from Seven Hills and Andrew Will, but I don't know if you'll find anything for under 30. Maybe Tamarack too?
I've belonged to their wine club for a few years. I also like their merlots.
Andrew Will sounds interesting but their prices blow past $30.
I've heard of Tamarack but haven't tried them.
What are your thoughts on Novelty Hill?
