...our wine tasting group of 6 tasted 6 CA Russian River pinots and here are the results:
6. 2011 Balletto $25 - 27pts
5. 2011 Siduri $29 - 26pts
4. 2011 Irony $25 - 24pts
3. 2011 Rodney Strong $19 - 21pts (BevMo 5 cent sale)
2. 2010 Shane "The Charm" $30 - 13pts (DuMol winemaker)
1. 2011 Duckhorn Migration $38 - 12pts
This is somewhat of a consensus with a big point drop from 3rd to the first 2 places.
For the money, the Rodney Strong is a winner. The low rating of the Siduri was a surprise.
What do you think?

Happy tasting
I still belong to their mailing list. But like all wineries, they have their hits and misses. I also like the Novy offerings.
I just got an email from them offering some of their 2011 single vineyard bottlings at a good discount. Seems they need to make room for their 2012's.
Haven't tried any of the Shane wines. Usually good?
Have you tried any of the Benovia pinots?
...their Russian River Valley.
I've tried it and thought it was pretty good.
But all of those pinots were good and it didn't do as well in the comparison.
Went to their site and saw where they've sold everything. The pinot was listed @ $40. Did you get it cheaper elsewhere?
...discount wine shop with a big selection selling it for $30.
I found some here:

The winner was the Duckhorn Migration - there's lots of it around -
