  Sparklers all year round is what I say.
  K and L is a wonderful source for small lot grower champagnes. And their champagne club is a great way to taste all kinds of champagne...highly recommended.

  Domestic bubbly, Roederer Estate, Gloria Ferrer, Schramsberg.
  
  Champagne, Roederer, Mumms, Taittinger, Perrier Jouet.
  
  Wife loves Vueve Cliquot.
  
  We've tried a bunch of smaller producers but they would probably be hard to find.

    ...domestic - Roederer Estate.
    
    ...French - Vueve Cliquot for the money.
    
    Last year Coppola's Sophia Rose was a favorite by the pool - have to taste some current ones to find this summer's.

        ...but rose in the French fashion - fairly dry with residual fruit.
        
        But it varies from year to year.

      I did have a couple of glasses of his "claret" at a party recently. Not bad, bud nothing to get excited about.
