We went with the bro in law last Thanksgiving week and then joined the Chalk Hill mailing list. Not a screaming cult wine list, just solid wines.
Their sauvignon blanc just came, 28 bucks, and really nicely structured and I would drink it again on purpose.
Then opened the malbec/cab franc and it is a solid knock out.
Two thumbs up and not wine crazy.
Any lists you have joined?

Also get offerings from Sea Smoke and Saxon, but I can't afford their prices.
Great call!
I never thought about their mailing list.
I'll check it out. Thanks!

...we were staying in the Healdsburg area and had dinner at Dry Creek Kitchen on the square.
They were pouring Chasseur by the glass and I loved it. I got the address off of the bottle - somewhere near Sebastopol.
As we toured the Russian River Valley, we stopped at Gary Farrel and I asked one of the guys behind the counter if he'd heard of it.
He skoffed and said something about them being obscure.
We looked for it as we drove through Sebastopol that Sunday, but the address was in an industrial warehouse area that was closed behind a big fence.
I got on their mailing list then and found the wine discounted at a local wine shop.
Their Blank Vinyard 2007 won one of our group's pinot tastings.
Good stuff indeed.
...Turley this weekend, they said the wait was 12 - 18 months to get on their list.
We joined Ferrari-Carano in Sonoma since my wife likes their chardonnays.
We get 2 bottles each quarter of their high end chardonnay, not sold outside the winery and an invite to their parties twice a year where they taste about a dozen wines paired with small plates of food.
I have more wine than I can drink.
