Long been one of my favorites, but don't buy much anymore because of their higher prices.
But one of my favorite things I'd done while in the wine country was to attend their Insignia blending class. They gave us sample glasses of all the wines that go into Insignia and let you make your own blend. At the end they give you a taste of the real thing and see how you did.
Thought I might do this again with my daughter this summer. It is now $60 a head. Nope.
Follow Ups:
..absolutely great wines..especially their cabs..just bought an 'Insignia' to keep for awhile for the right occasion..
...in Napa on the lower Silverado Trail had a similar blending event a few years ago when we visited which they invited us to attend.
I know Ferrari-Carano in Somoma has an annual competition to create a blend - the winner gets his named, bottled and sold.
So there are numerous of these type of events going on around the wine country.
