I'm really over over-oaked, over ripe California chards. Seems like Costco is bringing in more New Zealand, Italian, and Spanish whites which don't have these attributes.

Great place to get Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc and unoaked Chardonnay.

I agree with you about the California chards.
Sounds like you have the same selection of wines
in Texas that I have. I will try the Kim Crawford
as I remember seeing it at Costco. BTW Consumer
Reports (8/11) rated the Sauvignon blanc excellent
if that means anything.
