...you're up, bud.
It's your turn.
Follow Ups:
Have you tried it? Lot 18 has is for $19 and if you buy 4, no shipping.
WS gave it an 88, but the review sounded like classic zin.
...2007 was a banner year for California wines.
Dry Creek Valley is my favorite area for zins.
But, I've never been a fan of theirs.
Rafanelli, on the other hand, down the street is one of my perenial favorites.
I like the actual Dry Creek winery a lot - it's very nicely landscaped and well done.
About 10 years ago or so I liked their Reserve zin.
I'll look for this one and give it a try.
The last time I was there, a few years ago, we and our friends were the only people in the tasting room. The white haired gentleman with a mustache behind the tasting bar had some nice blues playing in the background.
We started talking to him and he was a retired attorney from San Francisco who had originally been from Philadelphia, where my wife is from. We talked about his kids, our kids and heard all of the details about the wine they were pouring, where the grapes were grown, the origin of the sailboat on the label, etc.
So we enjoyed our visit even though we bought none of their wine.
But I discovered my dream retirement job.
for you or someone else to give Valdez Family wines a try for me. Especially their zins and petite sirahs. We don't get them here and their shipping and handling prices are too high.
