We had a bottle of Pol Roger Champagne for Christmas Eve.

Nothing too special for Christmas dinner as most of the relatives wouldn't or couldn't care less.

Roessler "Peregrin" Pinot Noir and Ch. Ste Michelle "Cold Creek" Cab..

A very nice Christmas goose dinner with some friends and these were what we tasted....there were seven of us.

Starters:
Veuve Clicquot NV
Taittinger brut NV
Nicolas Feuillatte Brut NV

Main:
2005 Macrae Family Winery Bacigalupi Vineyard Russian River Pinot Noir
2007 Domaine de Cristia Chateauneuf du Pape
2007 Bogle "The Phantom" Red Blend

Dessert:
Fonseca Porto Bin 27

The Macrae and Cristia were very enjoyable, though champagne is always a pleasure too.

...last night we had Veuve Cliquot champagne with crab cake appetizers.
A 2006 Saintsbury Pinot, a 2000 Mondovai Reserve cab. and an aged merlot with a New Orleans dinner.
I preferred the Trader Joe's Grand Reserve Meritage Napa Valley 2008 I brought to all of those.
They had no fruit left.
