No reason not to charge for a tasting. Especially if you're a smaller operation.

But I did enjoy the barrel sampling of the one pinot(?) I tried, and if I remember correctly, you also enjoyed it. Do you think it was the "being there" syndrome, or did it degrade with aging?

  The company was definitely good.
  
  But as I said in your Lodi thread, "nothing like a vacationer to overpay and overpraise a wine". I was on vacation.
