I'm liking the 2004s less than previous vintages. Juvenile is not one of their top vinyards, but is usally very drinkable.

Usually the Turley would be more complex and balanced, while the Biale woud be more fruit forward with less going on behind it.

That may not be so now.

Turley was one of the thinner of theirs that I've ever had. Still quite good but not the borderline full ripeness they usually achieve.

The Biale was much richer and darker. Your right in that it wasn't a complex bottle.

But I have to take into account that we had finished the Turley and then tried glasses of the Biale. Tastebuds might have been a bit slow.

  ...a couple of months ago, we downsized our home and moved to the town next door to us (Walnut Creek, CA).
  Not far from us is a strip mall with a popular local Italian restaurant named Rocco's. The owner is Rocco Biale.
  On the menu is Robert Biale Zin.
  I inquired - Rocco is his cousin.
  Coincidence.
  This past Saturday night we took friends there for dinner. I ordered the Biale zin but they were out.
