Almost 6 years after walking away from my first career and starting over at age 40 something as a winemaker and owner of a small winery, my wines are now being reviewed.
The Wine Enthusiast has given me 90 points on both my Syrah and Semillon Ice Wine. My Rose' and Riesling garnered 89 and 88 points.
I'm sure there will be not so good reviews in the months and years ahead...that's just the way it goes (sort of like being an audio mfg) but for now allow me to gloat!

Wow. The real thing! That's great. I'm having fun here in D.C. checking out modest classic French wines. We have all kinds of local importers. I can't afford most interesting U.S. wines! Can often get good (well regarded) Bordeaux/Burgundies for less than 50 bucks. Just now starting to drink some of the 1996 Premier Cru Burgundies I laid down. Kind of exciting. Bet your wines are really good. Salute and cheers!
...as I share your passions for good music and fine wine.
However, with my music, I chose to appreciate the best with a system which would reproduce it as lifelike as possible - rather than become a musician myself.
Same with wine. Looks a lot like farming to me.
My dream job in retirement in a few years is to work in a good tasting room, play my iPod in the background and chat with the customers.
You've done a nice job - need any help in your tasting room?

Sure, I can always use the help...but I'm in Walla Walla, not No. Cal!
Great accomplishment. What area are your vinyards in? I know that there have been a couple of really good growing seasons within the last few years in some regions.
Where can your wine be found, and how much?
Cory
Thanks Cory,
I pull fruit from all over the Eastern part of the state...I don't own any of my own vineyards. 2005, 2006 have been very good vintages...2007 is looking pretty good so far also. My wines are only available in Washington or Oregon or directly from me.
