Very impressive Lee,I nearly put Yquem down as one of my own favourites.
Had a couple, one was a 45, (I think), in 1980, the oldest wine that I had ever tasted, even turned brown (and fruit turned to acid) as we drank!! - Absolute God's Nectar though, whilst drinkable (20mins in glass).
Most Special..1 weeks wages (1979), on a 75 Mouton R . Tip off from an MW, 1975 Mouton was going to be far too fat, flabby, and very difficult, saved by pre-harvest rain, to make a top vintage.
Other clarets fared less well, with this rain, and 75 was a mixed bag!
I was to drink it at 25years, celebrating "2000".
My verdict - fantastic but wish I had kept it another 15years or so!
What will my 95 be like, When should I drink it?
