the majority of my shots are somewhat fuzzy, i can't hold my hands quite still. I know get a tripod, but sometimes a tripod isn't compatible with the situation. Any tips?
Follow Ups:
Get a piece of thin rope, and screw one end of it to the tripod screw in the base of your camera. Let the other end drop to the floor, and put your foot on it, thus keeping the rope tight. Now, focus and shoot: unless you are extremely shaky, it will work fine for speeds as low as 1/4th of a second!Regards
.
would work even better on a camera with the viewfinder on top i suppose since you could hold the camera without using your hands ia the strap.
Shoot at higher speeds. The rule is never hand hold at a spees that is less than twice the focal length.. ie 50mm lens shoot hand held at 125th or more. That should do it , faster is better for the shaky hand,
Try getting yourself more settled and take a few deep breaths as you are getting ready and framing the shot. When you are ready, take a final breath and exhale slowly, pressing the shutter release slowly as you do so.
Tripods are a pest, but you can get monopods (one telescopic leg) which are designed to aid steadyness when you are hand holding the camera.
