According to our local camera shop and Contax dealer, no more Contax cameras, film or digital are being made. Kyacera dropped them and no one else has picked up the Contax name.
That means Ziess Ikon will only be making lenses for Sony digital cameras, and other optical lenses for various uses.

Too bad. I still haven't found anything to replace my RTSII's that are as good in terms of mechanics, fit and finsh, and the lenses. I'll wait and buy a digital when the prices for the full frame models come down from the stratosphere.
