In Reply to: Got to buy a crappy PC computer to run some software for audio and for wife. It has to be a lap top. Any recs? posted by Norm on November 29, 2005 at 12:33:11:
Norm,Graphics are best on a mac so is music. So why spend hours fixing windows problems and dealing with viruses.
Why not get the best for what you are looking for and get an iBook for $999 new from MacMall with all kinds of free stuff.
Thanks, what I have on my audio system.

Especially under $1000?
Gordon's right and yes, you can get an ibook for under a grand. For a basic use - internet, audio, photos - mac is the way to go. You won't have to worry about spyware and viruses, either. Mac sounds much better for audio too.
One is for the Halcyonic isolation platform and another is for room acoustics. My wife's is for quilt designs and another for pattern for embroidery designs.
