Has anyone tried a 1995 Mouton Cadet (St. Laurent) by Baron Philippe de Rothschild? Anything outstanding?
Can anyone shed some light on this wine?
Thanks.

What the other guys say is the negative version of the following:
The good news:
A red wine.
A Claret. (red Bordeaux from France)
serve at room temp.
Dry and smooth, if opened a couple of hours before.
Plonky if served immediately (like virtually all reds).
Reliable, year in year out.
Unbeatable pedigree.
A safe choice, When you want above, and you're not sure about the other wines on the menu.
The one you have is a vintage (declared year) you can therefore check if it's good or very good.
The one you have comes from a recognised area of Bordeaux so you can read up on it.
Everyone has heard of Baron Phillipe de Rothschilds.Down side:

Hi...What the other wine snobs (:-)) might have noted is that Mouton Cadet is a mass-market blended product that can't really be compared
to serious vintage-varietal wines. It's plonk, year-in, year-out.
Similar in quality, to your surname.......
LMAO
