Upgrading my PC - looking for advice.

Hey all.

My old 3.06 GHz P4 with 1GB RAM is getting a little long in the tooth & I have the upgrade bug. I'll probably just buy mobo/CPU/RAM & install it in my existing setup. Since the most power-hungry thing I do on a computer is a bit of video editing & converting, what kind of CPU & RAM do I need to do it well?

I don't really have an interest in gaming, but the way.. So gaming performance isn't an issue.
