Re: My iPod will NOT download songs off my iMac

I started having the same cursor problems on my Dell. It may be more from my Echo Indigo I/O card and loaded the newest drivers and that seemed to help. I do not think it was an IPod problem.

The IPod software is not particulary intuitive. You must first play your cd and get it into the library. Then you can go into the menu and and create a new play list. If your disc tracks are not named they will simply come up as track numbers. The last disc you uploaded will be at the top of each track number in your library. You then must click and drag each track into your playlist and make sure you name it(the playlist), as that will be the name in your IPod display list. Then when you plug in your IPod a new menu list will appear and you must check each playlist you want to add or keep in your IPod, and you must keep it checked if you want it to stay.

Once you get the hang of it, its not too bad, but documentation is poor at best. Hope this helps some. Jim Tavegia
