Depends on if you are using 802.11 a, b, or g. If you were only getting 75% origianlly I suspect you are goping through some floors and/or walls. Steel stud walls, flourescent lighting, mains wiring will all interfere with the signal strength, as well as the added 50' distance.With no obstructions, on a good day you might get 300 feet with 802.11b, however this drops dramatically once you have some interference in between the NIC and WAP. WEP will have no effect on distance.
