not sure where to post this one, but I'll start here. need some ideas about a small monitor/hdtv (17-21" or so...) I got a new Mac Mini and need a monitor for it, but would like to have an integrated tv tuner too, since this thing will be set up in the kitchen. I thought Dell made one of those, but a quick search of their crummy website, I couldn't find it. Probably there somewhere. I did find what looks like a good overall monitor/tv at Sony. What I'd want it to do is internet, tv from a cable box, and digital image viewing. Games not important, but decent motion-handling for tv is. I expect there will be compromises - as in 'it won't be the best monitor and it won't be the best tv'. Provided the thing can do both resonably well, that's ok.. Anyone know much about combo monitor/hdtv equipment? Are there any that do both reasonably well? Other models to look at? here's the sony link..

It is not on their website, but we just bought a 20-inch Akai LCD TV with PC input capability in the store for $400.

The problem with these devices from my perspective as the house audiophile, is that their power supplies are sources of RF noise. The Akai has a little external 12-volt DC supply with an IEC inlet. Putting an RF-damping cord on it helped reduce the noise picked up in my audio system.

The 7 monitors listed in this url all have built-in tv tuners. Good luck.
