HI I have a new Mac Powerbook and I wanted to get a movie still of a dvd How do I go about doing this. Do I have to burn the movie first?. or can I snatch right from the dvd. thanks for your input

There's software packages someone around can turn you on to for grabbing frames from videos. Prior to that, there's a key combination on the Mac for taking the current window and putting it to the clipboard. It's a screen capture operation - command shift 3.

(command and shift are modifier keys, you hold them down while pressing the 3 - modifies the 3)

Once in the clipboard, it can be pasted into an app that works with pictures and saved there.
