It's the 100th anniversary of the publication of "Ulysses."

June 16 is Bloomsday, a day to celebrate and to get very drunk, if you are in Dublin... (nt), posted on June 17, 2004 at 01:44:22

"Ulysses" was first published in 1922. Bloomsday is what happened yesterday (nt), posted on June 17, 2004 at 01:46:06

It's the 100th anniversary of the day on which Ulysses was set. June 16th, 1904. That was the day Joyce met his wife. Awwwww.

I have never read the book...is it worth the time? (nt, posted on June 17, 2004 at 18:52:40

A day to pass up a pretty girl, get pissed at my country's religion and move to France to become an art-eest.
