We had friends over for a smoked pork loin and I picked up a 2009 Rombauer Merlot and 2009 Groth cab at the same sale and both were 'light style' enough to match the food. The Rombauer was better than I remembered from them - much more structure that anticipated!
The Groth was a bit generic.
