I don't get it!

I had dinner a few weeks ago with my New York distributor..it was a wine geek affair with way too many bottles of wine on the table. Someone brought two bottles from a very highly rated Washington producer. The 1992 was horribly corked, the 2002 had alcohol so high that it burned my throat going down. Honestly, I would never release a wine like that, but I can pretty much guarantee that it got 95 points or there abouts.

I realize wine is a personal thing..but sometimes I just want to scream.
