Screw tops seem to be gaining in popularity with some producers due to many advantages over corks. Unfortunately there is a prejudice against screw tops amongst uninformed consumers associating them with cheap wines. Cork taint is eliminated and the screw top process is more exacting and consistent. There is the argument that a small amount of air should be able to enter the bottle through the cork to aid the aging process but some maintain the the normal amount of air in the bottle is sufficient for this. Even if it is necessary or desirable screw tops can be adjusted with precision during manufacturing to allow for this and to prevent sulphidisation.

I'll take twist and shout over pop and circumstance when available. The Molly Dooker The Boxer example was funny to me. You don't want to insult The Boxer or it will knock you out with a one-two fruit and alcohol punch.
