The red Burgundies of Albert Morot are built for the long run. You should be able to find some of the 1996's, depending on where you live. I opened a 1985 Savigny-les-Beaune of theirs last year, and it had lots of life left. The same wine of the 1996 vintage, opened recently, showed that the wine needs a decade of aging to show its qualities. The Beaunes are $30 or more a bottle, available in several appellations, should your budget allow a gift box. Clive Coates, in his Cote D'Or book, notes that the Greves bottling is from younger vines.
