New world wines. generalization.

After many years I've come to the conclusion that most new world wines have one big shortcoming.
And in a way similarities.
Lot's of them have nice flavors upfront, good mouthfeel, but in general lack depth and complexity of flavours in the aftertaste.
Sure some of them do have length, but in general it is just
the same initial flavor that carries on.
Rarely do they surprise you with complex flavours
What's your opinion??
